Companies and entrepreneurs in the UAE who received a license in July must apply for corporate tax registration by the end of August

The UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) urges companies and entrepreneurs who received a license in July, regardless of the year of issue, to register for corporate tax payment by August 31, 2024. Legal entities and individuals who do not register on time face an administrative fine.

The registration deadlines are established by FTA Decision No. 3 of 2024, which came into effect on March 1. These requirements apply to both residents and non-residents conducting business in the UAE.

To register for corporate tax payment, in addition to the application, a package of documents must be provided, including a license, passport, and Emirates ID. This can be done online on the special EmaraTax platform, which operates 24/7. After creating a user profile, the taxpayer registration number is sent by email and phone. It is also possible to register for corporate tax payment at government service centers operating throughout the UAE, or through FTA-accredited tax agents.
