Voluntary & Statutory Audit
A voluntary audit is carried out at the request of the enterprise and can be used in case you sell the business or wish to obtain a loan from a bank. In short, it’s needed in cases when you need to officially confirm the financial condition of the company. Statutory audits must be carried out by companies which are registered in special free economic zones. These reports are submitted only to the registration authority; to be precise, directly to the free economic zone administration where the company is registered. It’s worth noting that information contained in the audit reports is confidential and inaccessible to third parties.
Audits must be carried out every year. Dates of the beginning and end of the financial year in free economic zones differ, which means some companies can set their own periods. However, the rule is the same for everyone and the audit report must be submitted no later than three months from the end of the financial year of the enterprise.
