The Dubai Free Zones Council (DFZC) has announced the launch of the One Freezone Passport initiative, designed to allow companies to operate across multiple free zones in Dubai using a single license. This new system:
- simplifies business expansion processes;
- eliminates the need for separate permits in each free zone;
- enhances operational efficiency for international companies;
- reduces both time and cost burdens.
The initiative is part of Dubai’s D33 Economic Agenda, which aims to strengthen the emirate’s position as a global hub for investment and business. As explained by Dr. Juma Al Matrooshi, Assistant Secretary General at Dubai Free Zones Council, One Freezone Passport will enable companies to seamlessly expand their presence across various free zones — further enhancing Dubai’s appeal as a premier investment destination.
The first company to benefit from this new program was Louis Vuitton. The globally renowned brand, which operates warehousing facilities in Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), successfully extended its license to the DWTC Free Zone — where it established a corporate office — in just five days.
